BRONX VA RESILIENCE AND WELLNESS MENTOR PROGRAM
For Veterans In the Bronx VA Resilience and Wellness Center Program
ProVetus recently began to work with the Bronx VA Resilience and Wellness Center Program. This pilot program allows veterans to attend a four week program. They are introduced to various alternative medicine interventions and life skill classes - all towards the goal of helping them identify new techniques to reduce stress, anxiety, etc. as they move forward. ProVetus mentors provide support and motivation. Mentors in this program must be Veterans.
VETERAN COURT MENTORS
For Justice Involved Veterans in the Problem Solving Courts
of Westchester County and Middletown, NY
ProVetus is honored to partner with the New York State Unified Court System 9th Judicial District on this initiative. Peer mentors are a critical component of the Veterans Court/Track. Peer mentors are men and women who have previously served in our nation's armed forces and volunteer their time to work with veterans in the criminal justice system. They provide veteran-defendants with a unique source of support and motivation as they navigate through the court process. Through the use of peer mentors, judicial monitoring, coordinated services and enhanced communication, the Veterans Court/Track seeks to provide veterans with immediate and intensive intervention so that they can successfully reintegrate into civilian life.
